Darren started out working in documentary and light entertainment before moving to drama in 2009 as a camera trainee on the BBC’s Doctor Who in 2009 in Cardiff. He returned to Northern Ireland and continued as a camera trainee on the first season of Game of Thrones Season before transitioning to 2nd AC and later DIT on a range of HETV and feature film projects. During this time he also worked on a number of projects as Production Manager including shorts, feature documentaries, music videos and commercials. This led to a full-time career as a Production Manager and UPM on feature films including Nowhere Special, The Northman and The School for Good and Evil. Darren is passionate about growing the film and TV industry in Northern Ireland having watched the size and quality of the crew and facilities grow over the last two decades.
