"What is special about MTR is that each film project undertaken is written, produced, and edited by the young people participating. They have total control over the narrative and gain maximum skills and experience."

MTR encourages active participation and cultural exchange through the process of filmmaking, so that young people can tell their own stories and challenge mainstream opinions that often don’t reflect their lived experiences. MTR Studio is a space where young people can attend tailor-made media workshops using professional editing equipment and create films in a safe and friendly environment.
MTR also set up the project Our Everyday Lives (OEL): young people living in areas of disadvantage, especially in the Middle East, North Africa, and India produce films to represent the reality of their lives & expand people’s knowledge.
