Lost in London team - Production Guild Awards 2018

The Production Guild of Great Britain was founded in December 1999.

Its foundation marked the amalgamation of two organisations representing the production and accounting grades in the UK: The Guild of Film Production Executives and The Guild of Film Production Accountants and Financial Administrators.

The newly formed Guild sought to have one association representing the management grades on a film production, as well as broadening the membership base to include location managers, to have a louder and more influential voice with government, and to communicate and work more efficiently with the US studios.

The first ever PGGB Newsletter, January 2000

In July 2013, The Guild of Location Managers joined forces with PGGB, and, in 2015, VFX and Post-Production grades were introduced to the membership.

Over the last 25 years, PGGB has evolved with the industry, adapting, pioneering and growing. The face of production has changed and with it, PGGB has too.
