Funding for training
Whilst our training is highly regarded and competitively priced, we do understand that some people do not have the funds to cover the cost of courses. Here are several organisations that may be able to help you.
As a graduate from the Assistant Production Accountant Training Scheme 15 years ago I am keen to employ trainees on the productions I work on. Recently I have had trainees on Overlord and Ready Player One. These placements give the trainees the opportunity to put the knowledge and skills they have learnt in the classroom into practice. They are thrown into the real world of production accounting and they need to be able to step up to this challenge. This training scheme is invaluable for the film and TV drama industry, particularly in the present climate when the number of productions filming in the UK is so high.
Meet our current APATS trainees
Our current assistant production accountant trainees are about to embark on several industry placements ranging from high-end TV drama to blockbuster films.
"The course offered a realistic grounding in film production that allowed me to access a wide range of mentors, industry contacts, knowledge and experience that upon completing the course meant I could move forward in my career with a happy feeling of confidence. I really value the support of everyone at the Production Guild which has continued long after my completion of the course. "
Develop your team's production knowledge and skills
We have delivered bespoke training for the BBC, Pinewood Studios, Warners Bros. Studios Leavesden and BECTU to name a few. Courses range from Budgeting and Scheduling, Management and Leadership to working on US High End TV Shows.
