Last week, the Production Guild UK headed to Cardiff for the first event in our Super Connector Autumn series — and what a night it was.
Hosted by the brilliant team at Great Point Studios, we brought together members and industry professionals from across the Welsh production community for an evening of panels, conversation and genuine connection. It was exactly the kind of evening that reminds us why in-person events matter — and why Wales has become one of the most exciting and forward-thinking production regions in the UK.
Our panel, Sustainable Filmmaking in Wales, sparked a rich and honest conversation about how productions can embed sustainability at every level - from prep to wrap - and why Wales is increasingly at the forefront of that conversation nationally. We are enormously grateful to our three brilliant panellists for giving so generously of their time, knowledge and experience:
Edward Rastelli-Lewis — Line Producer, Young Sherlock
Gavin Chappelle — Sustainability Coordinator, Young Sherlock
Tilly Ashton — Sustainable Production Advisor, Severn Screen
Thank you to our headline sponsor Facilities by ADF and event sponsor Loop Talent for their generous support in making the evening possible, and to the entire team at Great Point Studios for being such warm and welcoming hosts.
Our Super Connector series continues this week — heading to Bristol & South West at The Square Club on 22nd October, before arriving in the North West at Space Studios Manchester on 11th November. We hope to see you there.
