Last week, the Production Guild UK headed to Bristol for the second of our events in our Super Connector Autumn series — and what a night it was.
Hosted by the brilliant team at The Square Club, we brought together members and industry professionals from across the Welsh production community for an evening of panels, conversation and genuine connection. It was exactly the kind of evening that reminds us why in-person events matter — and why Bristol & South West has become one of the most exciting and forward-thinking production regions in the UK.
Our panel, The Making of Bad Apples in Bristol & South West, sparked a rich and honest conversation about how productions can make the most of the landscape, resources and crew - from prep to wrap - and what Bristol & South West can offer productions looking to shoot in the area. We are enormously grateful to our brilliant panellists for giving so generously of their time, knowledge and experience:
Ben Greenacre - Co-Producer, Bad Apples
Katherine Nash - Head of Studios, The Bottle Yard Studios
Charlotte Taylor - Production Manager, Bad Apples
Bill Twiston-Davies - Supervising Location Manager, Bad Apples
Thank you to our headline sponsor Netflix and event sponsor for their generous support in making the evening possible, and to the entire team at The Square Club, for being such warm and welcoming hosts.
Our Super Connector series comes to a close in a few weeks time - with our final event taking place in the North West at Space Studios Manchester on 11th November. We hope to see you there!
