A rebooted android, a sweeping love story, a political conspiracy and the World Warrior Tournament. Our Guild Members had quite the week.
VisionQuest launches on Disney+ on 14th October — the long-awaited Marvel series following a rebooted Vision who has been hiding from those who seek to weaponise him, consulting the AI personas embedded in his programming — including the infamous Ultron — while on the run with a mysterious teenager who may be his reincarnated son. Paul Bettany and James Spader return, with showrunner Terry Matalas at the helm. Five Guild Members were part of the team: Roopesh Parekh (Producer), Lara Dorée (Unit Production Manager), Claire Mitchell (Financial Controller), Christian McWilliams (Supervising Location Manager) and Antonio Austoni (Production Manager).
Also on 14th October, Love of Your Life arrives on Prime Video — directed by Rachel Morrison and produced by Ryan Gosling, following Maya, whose chance encounter with Charlie sets in motion a sweeping romance that is suddenly and devastatingly upended. Starring Margaret Qualley, Aaron Pierre, Gabriel Basso and Patrick Schwarzenegger. Five Guild Members were part of this Amazon MGM production: Stephanie Vaughan (Line Producer), Andrew Hill (Financial Controller), Roisin Owen (Production Supervisor), Richard George (Supervising Location Manager) and Talha Pirzada (Assistant Production Coordinator).
On 15th October, The Diplomat Series 4 drops on Netflix — the Emmy-winning political thriller returning with Keri Russell, Rufus Sewell, Allison Janney and Bradley Whitford, as two marriages and a deadly international conspiracy collide in the most explosive season yet. Filmed in London, two Guild Members were part of the UK production: David Higginson (Line Producer, UK) and Erin Graham (Financial Controller).
And in cinemas from 16th October, Street Fighter arrives — set in 1993, estranged fighters Ryu and Ken Masters are drawn back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a gloriously action-packed, gloriously camp Paramount Pictures blockbuster starring Jason Momoa, Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo and Callina Liang. Guild Member Geordie Brown (Assistant Production Coordinator) was part of the team.
