Ghosts, gangsters and a body horror villain walking the streets of Gotham. Our Guild Members had quite the Halloween week.
Clayface arrives in cinemas today - DC Studios’ gripping body horror thriller following Matt Hagen, a rising Hollywood star whose life is shattered when a crime boss leaves him horribly disfigured. Desperate and abandoned, he seeks a cutting-edge treatment that miraculously restores him — but sends him spiralling into a path of all-consuming revenge. Directed by James Watkins and starring Tom Rhys Harries, Naomi Ackie, Max Minghella, Eddie Marsan and Aaron Paul. Guild Member Sheerin Khosrowshahi-Miandoab served as Production Supervisor on Additional Photography.
Also in cinemas today, Ghosts: The Possession of Button House brings Button House’s beloved ghosts to the big screen for the first time, and just in time for Halloween. When an amateur séance goes awry, Julian seizes the opportunity to leave the grounds in the body of teenage ghost hunter Jack, and what was supposed to be a temporary switch soon reveals the risk of permanent consequences. Charlotte Ritchie, Kiell Smith-Bynoe and the entire gang return, directed by Simon Hynd and written by the original cast. A perfect family treat this half term. Guild Member Nadya Wilkinson (Payroll Accountant) was part of the brilliant team behind it.
And on BBC One from Sunday 25th October, This City Is Ours Series 2 returns, picking up where the explosive first series left off, as Michael and Diana are dragged back into Liverpool’s criminal underworld before they’ve barely touched down in Spain. Joined by new cast members Shaun Evans and Álvaro Morte, all eight episodes land on BBC iPlayer on the same day. Guild Member Alistair Thompson (Production Executive) was part of the production team on this brilliant returning drama.
