In order to gain full membership you must have a minimum of three scripted feature film and/or HETV drama credits in the grade at which you are applying. The credits should be on a complete production, demonstrating a range of skills and experiences on different types of production.
2nd unit credits may count towards your membership application as long as they were full-time and for significant work on a project. Post production credits might also count towards a full membership application in the same way but additional photography does not usually count as a credit.
Length of time working in the industry, references, experience with industry software, and periods of time out of the industry may also be taken into consideration by the membership committee when reviewing applications.
To submit a full member application you will need the support of a current PGGB member and a minimum of three referees.
You will need to approach the PGGB Member in advance and they will need need to give you a short statement vouching for your character and recommending you for PGGB membership.
Your three referees should be individuals you have directly worked for and can vouch for the quality and standard of your work in the grade you are applying for. The references will help the membership committee to determine whether your experience in that role is suitable for full membership within The Production Guild.
We highly recommend that you speak to a member of the PGGB team before making an application.
