Are you experienced in film and television production and excited by the opportunity to help bring productions to Scotland? Screen Scotland is looking for a knowledgeable & proactive Screen Commission Officer to support productions and attract inward investment.
You’ll provide confidential advice to productions considering filming and/or post-production in Scotland & connect them with locations, facilities, crew, funding & industry partners.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the Head of Screen Commission in delivering Screen Scotland’s strategic priorities.
Provide tailored advice to national & international filming enquiries. Connect productions with locations, facilities & services, crew, etc.
Maintain relationships with film offices, landowners, facilities & other key stakeholders.
Advise on Screen Scotland funding & incentives, including the Recce Fund, Production Growth Fund & Post Fund.
Coordinate location scouts, familiarisation trips & industry events; represent Screen Scotland at UK & international markets
Coordinate enquiries via the Scottish Locations Network.
Support productions with filming issues.
Contribute to marketing, reporting, policy and sector development;
Critical Skills Required:
Sector Expertise: Experience working in the UK screen industry, or within a film office or related role, is essential.
Locations & Infrastructure Knowledge: Deep knowledge of Scotland’s locations, production & post-production infrastructure & stakeholders.
Stakeholder Communication: Experience communicating confidentially & effectively with stakeholders from senior studio execs to emerging filmmakers.
Industry Fluency & Network: Understanding of the film & TV sectors in the UK & globally; with established contacts.
Project Management Skills: Strong organisational & project management skills, with a solutions-focused approach.
