The Production Management Portfolio is a series of short courses aimed at learners seeking to develop the skills required to become production managers in film or high end TV.
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
Aimed at participants with experience of production, the course is ideal for people who want to learn the role from scratch as well as more experienced professionals seeking to use their existing knowledge to transition to production management including: location managers, 1st and 2nd assistant directors, production co-ordinators, production accountants and post-production supervisors..
HOW IS THE COURSE BE DELIVERED?
The modular structure of the course is designed to give you the flexibility to study the areas you need to focus on to develop your ability to production manage. Delivered at the weekends (at The Production Guild, Warner Bros. Leavesden) and evenings (in central London) the Production Management Portfolio supports you to invest in your professional development without having to take time away from work.
WHAT IS THE COURSE CONTENT?
The course covers the key role and responsibilities of the production manager and enables participants to develop the legal knowledge, practical skills and competencies that every successful production manager needs.
LEAD COURSE TUTOR
Most of the modules will be delivered by highly experienced Executive Producer, Producer and Line Producer Paul Sarony. Paul has extensive experience of working across feature films, dramas and documentaries. His credits include Mrs Brown, Juliet Naked and Being Mick. Some evening sessions will be delivered by Paul in addition to highly experienced production professionals and experts.

I learnt a great deal of new strategies and protocols that I am constantly benefiting from since the course. Since then I have worked on a number of large studio productions and produced my own short film.
