How to get ahead in film and TV drama? 

The Production Guild's Runner Training is designed to prepare you for working in the film and TV drama industry. The course is delivered by leading film and television industry professionals and will cover what is expected of you in such a demanding yet rewarding work environment. It will also help to channel your ambition into achievable career routes in film and TV.

Departments on Film and Television production

The hierarchy and chain of command

Set and office etiquette

Glossary of film terms

Health and safety

Production running

Floor running

Previous courses have been led by 1st AD Lynsey Muir whose credits include Dom Hemingway, Lewis, Doctor Who and Harrigan

I had had an interest in the TV and film industry for a while when I found out that the Production Guild were running a short course, which I was delighted to secure a place on. The tutor and guest speakers provided valuable advice and different ways to break into the industry including CV tips. Following on from the course I was able to get my first production role. I am excited to have started my career within the industry and I am enjoying every moment. Thank you Production Guild for this great opportunity.
