Twickenham Studios celebrates 105th Birthday

On Tuesday 8th August 2017, Twickenham Studios celebrates its 5th birthday under new ownership led by businessman, Sunny Vohra. The date marks the success of the ‘Save Twickenham Studios’ campaign, run by COO Maria Walker, to rescue it from demolition.

Having first opened its doors as a film studio in 1912, 2017 is a significant year as the studio marks its overall 105th birthday, making it one of the longest running studios in the UK!

Films that have been made at the studio, over the years include: The Italian Job, Alfie, Help!, Gandhi, Blade Runner, The Iron lady, War Horse, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Amy, The Martian, Florence Foster Jenkins, Baby Driver and many more.
