Movietech introduce new Summicron-C cine lenses

Production Guild company affiliate Movietech are pleased to introduce the latest members of the much celebrated Leica Summicron-C premium prime family, in the shape of the 40mm and 15mm T2.0.
Compact and clever, the Summicron-C range offers sharp, consistent focus with plenty of depth of field in a lightweight yet sturdy package, making them particularly suitable for use with digital camera systems. Blending intelligent design with precision engineering, these industry leading lenses deliver levels of clarity, illumination and true-to-life colour that are perfectly suited to any type of cinematography from fast paced aerial shoots to big screen entertainment.
As per the full range, the 40mm and 15mm T2.0’s contain an exceptional 36mm image circle, capable of handling the very latest in sensor technology. The lenses also feature the classic Sonderoptic linear focus scale and ultra-smooth focussing abilities allowing users a familiar feel in a smart new package.
Having taken delivery of the UK’s first and only set of the 15mm and 40mm lenses, Movietech have been delighted to see them being put to immediate use on a variety of commercials plus an extended outing with Cinematographer Dick Pope BSC on the Mike Leigh directed Peterloo.
