In new releases this week, we’re highlighting the A24 war action film Warfare. Set during the Iraq War in November 2006, the film follows a platoon of Navy SEALs embarking on a dangerous mission. Written and directed by Alex Garland (Civil War, 28 Days Later) and Iraq War veteran Ray Mendoza and starring D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Will Poulter, Cosmo Jarvis and Joseph Quinn, the combat movie was filmed at Bovingdon Airfield Studios in Hertfordshire near London.

Also new in film this week is the comedy-drama The Penguin Lessons, starring Oscar nominee Steve Coogan as a British teacher working in Argentina who rescues a penguin from an oil-slicked beach.

Coming out on Disney+ this week is the five-part psychological drama series The Stolen Girl, revolving around a young girl who never returns from a sleepover with a new school friend.
Filmed in Manchester, PGGB Member Lisa Corkill-McIntyre worked on the production as Line Producer, alongside PGGB Partners and Affiliates TPH Global, Team Engine and Film Offices UK: Kent Film Office.
Finally, new in TV this week is the second season of the post-apocalyptic drama series The Last of Us starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as survivors of a global pandemic that caused the collapse of society.
