In this masterclass, you'll discover how Intimacy Coordinators implement best practices on set which address scenes of intimacy and nudity in a manner that is safe, professional and effective - enhancing this particular area of physical storytelling. There will also be important updates on how COVID-19 has affected the role.
Topics covered will include:
- An Introduction to the role of the Intimacy Coordinator.
- The general services of an Intimacy Coordinator.
- COVID-19 and intimacy - current practices on set.
- Collaborations: working with Teams Consultants, Midwife Advisers and more.

Yarit is Chair of the Bectu's Intimacy Coordinators Branch and Co-Director of Moving Body Arts. She is an established Intimacy Coordinator, educator and the first Intimacy Director in the West End (Death of A Salesman, 2019-2020). She has contributed to the Directors UK guidelines ("Directing Nudity & Simulated Sex"), co-wrote Equity's Intimacy Working Groups' guidance for employers engaging intimacy coordinators, co-wrote the 'Intimacy Department' section for Bectu's COVID-19 guidance and has recently contributed to Bectu's new Creative Industries Safety Passport course workbook sections on intimacy coordination and mental health.
Yarit's Intimacy Coordination credits include: Adult Material, White Lines, Spanish Princess 2, Bridgerton, Starstruck, Close To Me and she is currently working on productions for Fox, Starz and BBC.
