S. Himasha Weerappulige is currently working as a Content Acquisition and Licensing Manager and a part-time curator for ‘Asiatica Film Festival’. She partners with Victoria Dabbs, line producer (Elizabeth is Missing, Our Ladies, Malevolent, Tommy's Honour).

Himasha has a background in law and economics obtained at SOAS (School of Oriental African Studies) which allowed her to gain extensive experiences in legal environments within IP and digital constitutionalism. During her studies she also obtained an in depth understanding of decolonial practices within African, Middle Eastern and Asian cinema, which she englobes within her work in the screen industries. She is the president of an association dedicated to promoting cinema as a communal activity in the suburbs of Rome and Italy, and a pre-screener for several UK film festivals. She aims to work in production and development because she believes that such sectors are the best place to concretely make the screen-industries more inclusive.
