Improve your work opportunities
You can considerably improve your work opportunities through our availability service and jobs page which is used and trusted by international and UK producers and HoDs.
This unique service helps productions recruit the best people for their projects. This service is available to all UK and international productions looking for our members working in accounts, production, assistant directing, location management, post production and VFX.
We tailor availability lists to the specific requirements of each production outlining our members who are available for work.
In 2015 we dealt with over 650 availability requests from producers, HoDs and productions looking for members who were available to work with them.
Our members, company affiliates and business partners can also access our availability service directly themselves through the website and in 2015 the member and availability search page had over 32,000 page views.
Find work through our job listings
Members can also find work through our weekly e-bulletin and online job listings page. This is the most visited page in the member's only section of the website.
We advertise a range of jobs in productions covering all the different departments and grades. Each week we also advertise a number of permanently employed jobs.
The jobs page provides another way for productions and employers to advertise positions to Production Guild members.
As a member you will have access through our website to all UK film and television productions in prep and development, detailing production management and members associated with the production, locations, shooting dates, production companies and any further information where applicable. This enhanced database enables you to search and filter to find the types and range of productions you might be interest in.
The Production Guild's availability service is the best resource to use when you become out of sync with your usual production team. It gives you all the information you need to initiate your search for crew on your next project. I have also used it to put my own availability down in the past as I know that it will be the first place that most producers will look when trying to find the right Financial Controller.
We will ask you for your relevant skills and experience, your film and TV drama credits and contact details for your referees. All of this information will be passed to the membership committee.
Annual membership subscription rates are £350 per year for full membership and £195 per year for supplementary membership. Overseas is £195 per year. There is an application fee of £100.
In order to gain full membership you must have at least three feature film and/or TV drama credits in the capacity for which you are applying. For supplementary membership you will need one credit.
The availability service is an invaluable tool and I received several interesting job offers. I now rarely have gaps between jobs and I trust the database entirely when it comes to recruiting.
Our members attend exclusive Production Guild events and seminars throughout the year. This enables members to network with their peers and develop their production skills.

I regularly use the availability service when crewing up a new production. This service shows me what members are available for work, outlining their most up to date credits and work history - all of which helps to recruit the best production crew in the business.
