I graduated Accounting and Finance whilst in Belgium and I’ve been working in the UK for the last couple of years in various finance roles. My passion and interest in film and TV led me to look for finance opportunities within the industry. Being in the finance sector, I’ve been trying to find a way to break into the film/TV industry without giving up a career in finance and accounting.

The title of Production Accountant at a film's end credits opened my eyes. That’s when I decided I wanted to become a Production Accountant. Since then, I kept looking for entry level jobs, and any course/training programme related to Production Accounting. During this time, I found the APATS course on The Production Guild website. I applied for it without giving a second thought and here I am today learning the job from the professionals of the industry.

APATS really introduced me to the film/TV industry. I would say it’s the best way to enter the industry for an outsider with no contacts or connections. All our tutors/guest speakers are friendly, open minded and always there to help. They’re the first contacts we made and very useful ones for future.

I’m really looking forward to starting my career as an Assistant Production Accountant and excited to take on some challenging yet wonderful and exciting projects on hand.
