Film and TV production is where I want to be. Like many others I’ve taken the long way round. Having completed a Master’s in European Law and Policy Making at Portsmouth University, I decided to travel. I ended up living in Vancouver for 2 years. Beautiful city! Whilst there I worked a wide variety of different jobs, including electronics tester and baker. In Vancouver I began my career in administration and found this suited me very well. I spent my spare time volunteering at art house cinemas and film festivals and watching films. I also sometimes socialised in the light of day with human beings.
I moved back to England, and to London, where I continued in administration and took on more finance orientated roles due to my aptitude for numeracy and organisation. A couple of years ago I began working as a bookkeeper for a small IT company. It was a steep learning curve with very limited mentoring so I started distance-learning with AAT. I’ve now almost finished my Professional Diploma in Accounting, but I’ve got a lot more to learn.
Film and TV production is where I want to learn.
I’m the type of person who gives 100% to an employer so I need a job that I can feel passionate about. I feel massively privileged to have the opportunity to continue my professional development within film and TV and I’d love the chance contribute to the success of your production.
