1987 – The Film Production Executives win the BAFTA for the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema

1999 - In December 1999, The Guild of Film Production Accountants and Financial Administrators (GFPA) and The Guild of Film Production Executives (GFPE) merged to become "The Production Guild of Great Britain”

1999 – David Martin becomes the first CEO of The Production Guild. The Production Guild move in to offices at Pinewood Studios

2001 – The Production Guild's flagship training course The Assistant Production Accounting Scheme (APATS) is launched

2005 – Kevin Trehy is appointed chair of The Production Guild

2010 – Emily Stillman takes over as CEO

2012 -  Alison Small appointed CEO 

2013 - The Production Guild gave its approval for members of the Guild of Location Managers to be invited to become members of the Production Guild of Great Britain. On June 30th 2013 The Guild of Location Managers ceased to exist as a separate entity.

2014 – In its 15th anniversary year, The Production Guild Awards were re-launched to celebrate excellence within its membership. The awards highlight the UK’s reputation and influence as a leading centre for film and TV production management and the destination of choice for international film and programme makers

2015 – Guy Barker is introduced as the new Chair in October. VFX and post production grades are introduced to membership.

2018 – The Production Guild moves to Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden

2019 – Alex Boden is appointed chair.
